THREE DAYS OF TRUE PADDLING
Join us on PEI’s south shore from June 9th – 11th for Waterways Paddling Festival!
With two days of paddling adventures, workshops, entertainment, and featuring delicious locally produced food, Waterways Paddling Festival will have something for all kinds of paddlers. For those looking for a challenge there will be a 17 km long paddle between the villages of Borden-Carleton and Victoria-by-the-Sea (for weekend registrants only).
Take part in our sunrise paddle on Sunday morning or develop your skill in one of our paddling workshops. When you’re ready to take a break from the water, take in all that our Festival grounds has to offer.
CONNECTION TO FIRST NATIONS
Waterways Paddling Festival is honoured to be partnering with the Lennox Island Mi’Kmaq First Nation and acknowledges that this event is taking place on Mi’Kmaq territory.
The Waterways Paddling Festival celebrations will feature Mi’Kmaq performers, storytellers and other local and regional musicians.
Performances will take place all day Saturday at the Victoria-by-the-Sea festival grounds. There will also be demonstrations on Friday evening and Sunday morning.
Admission to these events will be included in the weekend paddler registration. Individual day passes are also available to the general public. Day passes include access to Festival grounds, performances, paddling workshops and Sunday’s sunrise paddle.

FAMILY FRIENDLY FUN
Waterways Paddling Festival is honoured to be partnering with the Lennox Island Mi’Kmaq First Nation and acknowledges that the event is taking place on Mi’Kmaq territory.
The Waterways Paddling Festival grounds in Victoria-by-the-Sea will offer family friendly activities related to paddling and its connection to Mi’Kmaq culture.
Open Saturday and Sunday, features will include: Mi’Kmaq cultural displays, crafts and local artisanal products. Saturday afternoon will feature Mi’kmaq drumming and an evening headline performance (19+ years) by Juno-nominated Madison Violet!
Festival grounds will be open to weekend paddlers and day pass holders. Access to all activities at the Festival grounds, including culinary offerings, is included in the weekend paddler registration cost.

If you would like to improve your paddling skills or even try something for the first time, join us for our paddling workshops! With a focus on kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding, a local instructor will work with participants of all levels to develop technique and confidence. Bring your own boat or use one that is provided on site.
Workshops will be held Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning at the Festival grounds in Victoria-by-the-Sea and are open to weekend paddlers and single day passholders. Click here for a schedule of workshops offered!
